Chapter Three Takes Shape

Today I am still in a transitional/organizational research mode. I continued some work on my syllabi today and have finally settled on the texts I will use for my spring seminar. This means that I have all my books picked out for the 2006-2007 school year!! I'm very excited to have that out of the way. I still need to go through and break down the page numbers (especially on my fall intro course since I'm using a new book)but I'll have to wait for my review copies as some of the books I'll be using next year are revised editions of books I already own. I also need to copy my electronic materials for one of my fall courses onto a CD so that they can be uploaded onto the course site. But all in all, it feels good to have at least one stage of the teaching prep work done.

I also started Chapter Three today. Two whole beautiful pages. Chapter Three will have six sections--intro, bio, party politics, campaign overview, textual analysis, and conclusion. I've been research sections 2-4 and my goal is to have those sketched out tomorrow while I'm at the library and perhaps completed by Sunday. Good start--gotta keep movin.

(Why doesn't it feel like Friday?)
