Major Research Day

For Chapter Five and I studying the internet campaign of an African American women politician. I had some copies of the files stored on my computer during her campaign, but it didn't occur to me at the time that the site would change or go down one day. Duh. So I spent a few months looking for archives. One day I found the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine which archives all types of sites--it is a lifesaver. The cool thing is that it has the site I'm looking at before I started this project last year, so I get to see it in its first stages of development. It doesn't have everything on the site--but a good bit. So I've spent some hours today just studying the archives, collecting images, and saving copies of what I can so I'll have plenty to write about later. I think this may be the last of the dissertation work I do in 2005!!
