I love days on which I finish chapter drafts. It's raining outside, but I can hardly tell--I feel so bright and sunny. Chapter Four is off to the CoChairs and it feels GREAT to have it off my desk before the New Year. I wonder when I'll get some feedback on it....
In other news, I went to the public library and checked out a bunch of books to look over for my Spring seminar on Black women. I'm so excited about that class. It is going to be hard to narrow down the books I want to use for this course. I want to do a mix of secondary texts and autobiographies--we'll see. I'm looking forward to reading these texts and can't wait until I'm officially a professor so I can get some desk copies.

Thanks RV. Prof Me, the counter sends me into a panic every now and then, but I like it! Can we compromise? What if I put it somewhere at the bottom of the sidebar? Still no good? Hmmm maybe I can figure a way to put a counter on my laptop screen...
